Ingredients of Beet Greens

  1. It’s of bunches beet greens with steams.
  2. It’s of extra-virgin olive oil.
  3. It’s of minced garlic.
  4. You need of crushed red pepper flakes.
  5. It’s of freshly ground black pepper.
  6. It’s of salt.
  7. Prepare of quartered lemons.

Beet Greens instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the beet greens, and cook uncovered, boiling about 2 minutes until tender.
  3. Drain then immediately immerse in ice water for several minutes until cold to stop the cooking process.
  4. Once the greens are cold, drain well, and coarsely chop.
  5. Heat the olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes in a large skillet over medium heat about 1 minute.
  6. Add greens Cook just until greens are hot.
  7. serve with lemon wedges.
